Minimalistic make-up – the effect you fall in love with!

Hello, beauties!

Lately, life has changed significantly, and all us tend to turn towards spiritual growth. We all live more aware of the fact that the inner world is a rich place and its good for us because the world around us seems to be all smog, pollution, viruses, and other harmful factors. Both fashion and make-up turn more towards minimalism and convenience than ‘making a show’. Obviously, that does not mean that we suddenly became those make-up free freaks with oily skin and wide pores, blackheads, and pimples of all sorts. Well… I for one, will not turn this way because I like make-up and I apply it because I simply like it.

I recently discovered the appeal of minimalistic make-up that is more skincare than make-up. I have a feeling that it will interest you. So, without further ado, I encourage you all to read my post about minimalistic make-up.

Minimalistic make-up

If in this moment you think that your face cannot live without a high-coverage foundation because of all the imperfections on your face, let me tell you that this foundation that you use is the direct reason for imperfections to be created in the first place. It clogs the pores and makes pollution and sebum mix on the skin creating inflammations, pimples, and other imperfections.

Today, I want to show you that you can create make-up with just one BB cream and one perfect mascara.

Minimalistic make-up in 5 minutes? Sure thing!

I assume that you know how to care for your skin and prepare it for the make-up – cleansing, toner, serum, and cream… all ready? Then let’s go.

1. Wait a few minutes so that cream is absorbed. Then move to BB cream but not just the first BB cream that you can find. I encourage you to use a cream with a good composition and such that have a high UV filter. My BB cream has SPF 45 and it’s not too much especially if you live in the city.

A good quality BB cream will protect you against the sun rays, toxins, and pollution of the big city while conditioning the skin while you work in the aircon rooms.

The BB cream should be applied with your fingers with a gentle tapping motion. If you have oily skin, go for mattifying effect and remember to have blotting sheets on you during the day to remove the excess sebum. Thanks to it, you don’t need loose powder because blotting sheets will keep your skin in great condition without the damage to your make-up.

2. Brow gel is yet another trick that doesn’t require any advanced and time-consuming make-up art technique. If you have sparse eyebrows, choose tinted eyebrow gel to provide your eyebrows with some color. If your eyebrows are thick and there is no bad word that you can say about them, just style them with colorless gel so that they hold in place throughout the day 🙂

I wasn’t pleased with my eyebrows because they were always sparse and overly plucked so I used pencils, gel, mascara for eyebrows till one day I came across Nanobrow. It really works! After 4 months I could set aside make-up products for eyebrows and turn to just colorless gel because they grow back and became thicker.

3. The last step in minimalistic make-up is mascara. I do not recommend using just any mascara but one that will condition your eyelashes, support their growth, regenerates, and strengthens eyelashes. The mascara that day by day nourishes and strengthens eyelashes as you wear it. My number one mascara with such a ‘thoughtful’ composition and the stunning effect is Lashcode. Do any of you know it? Check it out if you have a chance because it should get a cosmetic Nobel prize. Works like a dream and takes care of eyelashes like none other!

Do you know any great mascara, BB cream, or cosmetics that fit the minimalist trend? My make-up certainly is missing some lip balm or lipgloss. If you know any good one, let me know.
