Hidden Gems That Will Soothe Your Skin: Anti-Redness Face Serums RANKING

Hidden Gems That Will Soothe Your Skin: Anti-Redness Face Serums RANKING

Today’s post is going to be dedicated to the best anti-redness face serums that exist – at least in my opinion. None of the products should trigger a reaction in skin, but improve its appearance and free it from irritation. It took me over a year to test these face serums. Now I’m able to tell you which one passed with flying colors. If you want to know which soothing serums deliver best results and what surprised me about them, continue reading.

My way of using anti-redness face serum

Whenever I have time, I try to use a face serum twice a day: morning and evening. Even though I sometimes fail at doing so, I’ve made a face serum a compulsory element of my beauty routine. Naturally, before putting this soothing product on, I wash my skin with a gentle gel cleanser and then wipe it with a tonic. After a short while, when the skin is still damp, I put on the face serum. If it comes with a dropper, I don’t put the serum on the palm of my hands, but just apply a few drops straight on my face. I try not to put the applicator too close to the skin because I don’t want to pick up any bacteria to later transport it into the bottle with the product.

I also try to make sure that I spread serum evenly on the face and neck, but when I’m in a hurry, I skip the latter. But once the product is all over my face I start massaging it in, which takes me just a couple of seconds. And when the serum absorbs into skin fully, I follow it with: a SPF in the morning, a nourishing cream in the evening. That’s basically my way of using anti-redness face serum.

I know this “manual” turns out to be a bit long but the whole procedure doesn’t take much time, trust me. Let’s move on now to the products that I love and would like to recommend to you.

GEM NO 1 | Nanoil Anti-Redness Face Serum

Nanoil Anti-Redness Face Serum

If you read my blog regularly, then you must have noticed that I like Nanoil brand. How many Nanoil product reviews have I posted so far? Five? Six? Anyway, here’s another one.

You get as much as 1.69 fl oz (50 ml) of this soothing elixir, which is great because you can use it twice a day without bothering that you’ll run out of it any time soon. And the application itself is facilitated by a dropper, which means that you are in control of measuring out the exact dosage you need.

Nanoil Anti-Redness Serum is water-based and absorbs into skin really fast, which I like because I don’t have to wait long to apply a face cream. It doesn’t create any oily feel so you can do makeup straight away. When I apply it in the morning, it provides my skin with protection because it remains calm – it isn’t reddened for the entire day.

With time Nanoil serum handles the problem of weak capillaries, minimizing its appearance, which – to me – is the most spectacular. Some of you may like the anti-aging effect that this serum also offers. Naturally, you won’t find any alcohol or unwanted preservatives in the formula. What you can find instead are plant-based ingredients, such as chestnut and cypress extract, to name just two.

Without doubt, Anti-Redness Face Serum is another Nanoil product that I truly love. In case you need more info about it, let me direct you to nanoil.co.uk

GEM NO 2 | Dior Capture Youth Redness Soother

I think this is my first Dior product, but certainly not the last. I’ve come across so many positive reviews and comments about it that even the high price didn’t scare me off.

You can recognize this soothing serum by its wonderful color – I can’t decide if it’s blue or light green. Anyway, it comes with a dropper that plays the role of an applicator, which is a very convenient solution. The texture is smooth and lightweight, which means that you don’t need to wait long for the skin to soak it up.

As for the application, I prefer to use Capture Youth Redness Soother in the morning. Truth be told, I have an impression that this product helps my make-up products stay in place longer. Oh, and it covers up facial redness too. Generally speaking, the more I used this serum, the stronger my skin seemed to get. It became resistant to irritants.

What’s more, I noticed that rosacea and spider veins got significantly reduced, and the skin looked radiant for a few long hours. I believe that this effect is mainly owed to cotton peptides. Actually the formula is said to be 79% natural, and it contains an unusual ingredient called titanium dioxide. It’s supposed to work as sunscreen.

As you can see, the effects delivered by Dior serum are similar to what Nanoil serum is able to do. This is why I placed Dior in second place because even though I like the results, there is less serum in the bottle – 1 fl oz (30 ml), and the price is way higher.

GEM NO 3 | Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Re.Pair Serum

This serum is designed to help and improve the appearance of couperose and sensitive skin. Truth be told, at the beginning I considered the long list of ingredients as a red flag but luckily none of the constituents happened to trigger my skin. Pennywort and panthenol – which are proven to have a beneficial effect on weak capillaries – are some of the ingredients that definitely deserve our attention, and that’s why I wanted to mention them.

I like the fact that Tiger Grass Re.Pair Serum doesn’t need much time to deal with irritation – it brings instant relief. When it comes to other effects, I can confirm that this product fixed the problem of weak capillaries, so the facial redness wasn’t an issue either. The thing that I disliked is that I had to apply the serum twice a day for almost a month to see these effects.

But let’s focus on the bright sides of Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Re.Pair Serum, shall we? It keeps skin moisturized and better-looking, that’s for sure. And owing to being green-tinted, it’s able to cover up facial redness before dealing with the core of the problem. It absorbs into the skin fast and fully, so you can proceed with putting on color cosmetics.

Available in one size, which is 1 fl oz (30 ml), Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Re.Pair Serum is fairly easy to find in shops. But from what I’ve noticed, it’s more economical if you order it online.

GEM NO 4 | PAI Instant Calm Aster Maritime & Avoine Byzantine

Finally, the last but definitely not the least of my favorite soothing face serums. Truth be told, I didn’t hear much about PAI Instant Calm Aster Maritime & Avoine Byzantine. I came across it by accident while searching for some products dedicated for reactive and redness-prone skin. Something told me that I should give it a go, and I did.

I used it just once and I knew straight away that it would be perfect at replenishing moisture to the skin. And it is. Also – just as expected – it minimizes facial redness and soothes irritation. I also like the effect of a smoother and brighter complexion. Fine lines are also said to be reduced.

But does it deal with broken capillaries? Maybe PAI Instant Calm Aster Maritime & Avoine Byzantine needed more time to make the walls of blood vessels stronger, but I honestly lost my patience waiting for this to happen. Also, it contains plant oil so you shouldn’t expect it to be as lightweight as the products mentioned above. And because of that constituent, PAI serum absorbs slower, which is why I used it only at bedtime.

You can get this anti-redness serum in a white plastic bottle of 1 fl oz (30 ml). I wouldn’t call it a budget-friendly soothing serum, but it knows how to deal with most couperose skin concerns.
