Help! I Overslept! How to Get Radiant Look in a Record Time?

You’ve overslept. The clock is ticking and you need to get ready in a moment.

I know this scenario. I’m a sleepyhead and like to hit the snooze button… then I wake up and start off the race. Quick shower, getting dressed, make-up? Maybe I should give up on make-up this time? Not necessarily! It’s possible to enhance the look and take over control in the morning even if we’re pressed for time.

I had been struggling in the morning for long months. Then, I decided to do something about it and stop looking as if dragged through a hedge backwards. That is why I came up with my morning beauty schedule and share it with you. How to sleep longer and get the flawless look in a record time? Keep reading!

How to get ready in a record time? Brief guide for a sleepyhead

  1. Clothing is critical. If you don’t have it prepared the day before, you’re in trouble. Always prepare the clothes in the evening, checking the weather forecast. You won’t need to face the dilemma of what to wear in the morning.
  2. Hair, unruly hair… It’s hard to tame it in the morning, right? I’ve got a remedy or even a few. If you’re bothered by frizz, a natural hair oil works best to make hair smoother. Try the best-selling argan oil or macadamia oil, rub it between the palms and apply from the mid-lengths to dry or damp hair. Choose a spray-on oil treatment if you like.
If you like beach waves, you can easily get the look in the AM by simply spraying a salt spray on hair and scrunching it up for the messy waves. Both hair oils and salt sprays perfectly tame unruly strands and make a simple ponytail or braid look way better.
  3. Your make-up and morning skin care don’t need to take hours. Focus on washing the face to get rid of oil excess. Use a toner or flower water which usually comes in a spray-on bottle so you can easily and quickly apply it all over the face. If you’re bothered by dark under-eye circles, try the age-old trick: put slices of cucumber into the fridge before putting them under the eyes – after a few minutes the puffiness and dark circles are gone.

When your skin is still damp, you can use a moisturizer alone or follow with a BB cream. The Missha BB Cream is my top pick. You can choose between several colors and suit one perfect for your skin tone. I love it for a high SPF, nice coverage and combination of conditioning and protective effect.

Next, let’s move on to eyebrows – mine aren’t thick so I need subtle make-up. They are getting better thanks to the Nanobrow Serum but I still like to fill them subtly with a brow pencil.

Eyelashes are the secret to flawless look. Apply your mascara carefully and never use too much: clumps won’t make you look rested.

Last of all, sprinkle some translucent powder on the nose. You’re ready to go! If you’ve got an extra minute, apply a blush which is a saver reviving the most tired-looking faces.
