Beauty Studio at Home. How to Use Vitamin C and Boast Flawless Skin?

We can take at-home skin-care routine to the next level. Because staying at home has become a requirement, we should make use of DIY treatments that have a great conditioning effect. Currently, there is a wide range of substances that used to be reserved for the beauty salons. Vitamin C is one of them. What form should you try? Let me tell you about the best nourishing products for the skin and how to use vitamin C for the best results.

VITAMIN C

I know you like it and appreciate it. This is like a super-hero skin-care ingredient, ensuring multiple results and matching any type of skin. What effect does it have on skin?

  • less noticeable pigmentation spots
  • radiance boost
  • healthy skin tone
  • antioxidant and rejuvenating properties
  • perfect addition to a sunscreen

There are different forms of vitamin C. Each one has a different effect on skin and unique benefits. How to choose the best one? Let me help you out! See the most popular types of vitamin C found in face creams and serums.

ASCORBIC ACID

This best-known pure form of vitamin C is the least stable at the same time – it breaks down easily due to external factors. That is why most of it is gone before reaching the skin cells. Therefore, cosmetologists come up with other forms of vitamin C and its derivatives that are stronger and more effective. What are they called?

ASCORBYL GLUCOSIDE

This is a water-soluble, lightweight derivative of vitamin C which reaches the dermis and doesn’t break down on the way. Ascorbyl Glucoside evens the skin tone, seals the blood vessels and reduces redness. It works well for any skin type, excluding sensitive skins. Beside the benefits, in my opinion, this form of the acid is still too weak to really make skin better.

MAP

Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate is water-soluble and slightly more stable than pure vitamin C (ascorbic acid). MAP brightens pigmentation marks and works well for acne-prone skin.

SAP

Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate is water-soluble and works similarly to MAP. It also boosts collagen production and fights free radicals.

VITAMIN C IN OIL

Oil serums are often rich in vitamin C called Tetraisopalmitate. This form is highly stable and fat-soluble, penetrating the hydro-lipid mantle easily. It takes long to give noticeable results but they are long-term. This form of vitamin C is recommended for treating mature skin, face wrinkles, skin dehydration and uneven skin tone.

3-0 ETHYL ASCORBIC ACID

This is a fine-quality and the most expensive vitamin C which is also THE BEST AND THE MOST STABLE. It’s water-soluble and perfectly absorbed by the skin, acting as a strong antioxidant at the same time. It stimulates the skin and encourages it to produce optimal amount of collagen and elastin. This version of the acid perfectly brightens dark spots and enhances any skin, also acne, reactive and sensitive types. I love this form the most and found it in my beloved face serum Nanoil Vitamin C Serum.
