However, before I found the perfect kit, I tested several products from top brands. I tested different lash extension kits to find the one that would work best for me. The main problem was the difficulty of applying the cluster lashes, which made the whole makeup process take too long. So I decided to look for an alternative that would allow me to reduce this time. Let me start by saying that I have previously had the opportunity to try other products from this brand, and was very satisfied with them. That’s why I reached for the Nanolash DIY Eyelash Extensions Starter Kit first. The contents of the kit are really impressive:
- 36 cluster lashes in three lengths: 10, 12, and 14 mm.
- A bonder and a sealer, essential for applying the lash clusters.
- A special applicator that facilitates the application and fixes the ready look.
- A remover that speeds up removing the false lashes.
The manufacturer assures that it takes just 10 minutes to apply these cluster lashes, and indeed, it didn’t take me a moment longer even the first time. I was positively surprised at how smoothly the application went.
One of the biggest advantages of the cluster lashes from Nanolash is their softness, which makes the application much easier. I didn’t have to use any extra tweezers, as the included applicator did its job perfectly. Its special shape enables applying cluster lashes with precision even in hard-to-reach places.
Nanolash DIY Eyelash Extensions Starter Kit is available with cluster lashes in eight different styles. You can choose between lashes that provide a natural effect or those wirh extra volume. After applying the lashes, I knew immediately that it was a hit. The lashes lasted on my eyes for a full week, and I have a feeling that with more intensive care, they could last even longer. Not only do these cluster lashes add volume, but they also look very natural, which is extremely important to me. They’re also available in brown, so they would be an ideal choice for owners of light hair or redheads, who lolok unnatural in raven-black lashes.
2. KISS Falscara Starter Kit
The second lash extension kit I decided to test was the Falscara Starter Kit by KISS. The kit contains 10 cluster lashes and three essential products for the application:
- BOND: a product applied to the lashes before putting on the lashes,
- SEAL: a formula applied after the application to keep the lashes in place,
- An applicator: special tweezers that make it easier to place the clusters underneath the lashes with precision.
I decided to get this kit due to the reusability of the lash clusters, as suggested by the manufacturer’s website. The application went smoothly and quickly, as with the previous kit. The final effect was subtle, which matched my expectations. However, that’s where the advantages of the Falscara Starter Kit end. The kit does not include a remover, which facilitates removing the lashes, or an overnight protectant. Because of this, I had to dispose of the lashes after a single use, which was disappointing. Although both of these products can be purchased separately, I decided that I would look for a more cost-effective kit that includes all the necessary items.
3. Tatti Lashes Invisi-Lash Kit
Tempted by the trends and popularity of the Tatti Lashes brand, I decided to test their Invisi-Lash Kit for DIY lash extensions. Because of the brand’s good reputation, I had high expectations.
The contents of the kit are:
- Lash clusters: available on a black or transparent strip, there are 7 styles to choose from.
- Invisi-Lash Bond: a product used for applying the lashes.
- Seal Glue: glue that fixes the clusters in place.
- Applicator: special tweezers for applying the lashes with precision.
- Brush: a small brush for styling the lashes.
Applying the lash clusters went smoothly, although I must admit that after testing two other kits, I was already more skilled. I couldn’t find exact information on how long the lashes should last, and the lack of a remover in the kit forced me to treat them as disposable. The entire kit lasted for 7 applications, which is not a bad result, but I expected longer use. The lashes were easy to apply and looked natural, but the lack of remover and unspecified durability of these cluster lashes made me feel a bit disatisfied.
4. Glamnetic Lash Extension Kit
The fourth kit I tested also came with a choice of different sizes and styles of the lashes. The manufacturer indicated that the lashes should last up to 5 days, and the kit also includes a remover, just like Nanolash.
The contents of the Glamnetic Lash Extension Kit are:
- Cluster lashes: available in different sizes and styles,
- Remover: facilitates removing the clusters safely,
- Bonder: product for applying the lashes,
- Sealer: fixes the clusters to real lashes,
- Applicator: special tweezers for precise application.
The kit arrived very quickly, so I immediately proceeded with the application. It took me no more than a couple of minutes to apply the cluster lashes. After opening the package, I noticed that the lash clusters did not look as natural as in other kits, which caused my first concern.
After applying the cluster lashes, the effect was not satisfactory, unfortunately. The lashes looked unnatural, which was even more noticeable after the application. I felt uncomfortable wearing them. Perhaps lashes in a different shape or size would have given a better effect, but in this case, I was not happy. Although the Glamnetic Lash Extension Kit offers a wide selection of cluster lashes and includes all the necessary elements for applying them, the final result did not meet my expectations in terms of natural-looking lashes.
5. Lashify Starter Kit
I wanted to see how the kit from Lashify would differ as it comes at a significantly higher price compared to the previous ones.
The contents of the Lashify Starter Kit are:
- 10 cluster lashes: the lashes are very soft and look natural.
- Bonder: product applied before applying the lashes.
- Sealer: a fixer that is applied after applying the lashes.
- Applicator: specially designed tweezers for applying the clusters with precision.
- Remover: enables easy removal of the clusters after wearing.
I have to admit that the cluster lashes in this set are really soft, which makes the application much easier. The application process was super fast and the final result was very natural. The false clusters blended perfectly with my real lashes, giving them a fuller look. Although the kit contains only 10 cluster lashes which may seem like a small amount for such a high price, their quality and durability are good. I used up all the lash clusters during the very first application, making it one of the most expensive makeup looks I’ve ever created. However, with proper care, these cluster lashes lasted on my eyes for 5 days, which is a big plus.
Which lash extension kit is the best? Test summary
After testing all the products, I had no doubt which kit to buy again. I was most impressed with the Nanolash DIY Eyelash Extensions Starter Kit. I have two weddings coming up soon, so I plan to order it now with slightly thicker cluster lashes. The kit has met my expectations in every regard, so I can recommend it with wholeheartedly.
Although I was satisfied with the other kits, none matched Nanolash in terms of speed of the application and final result. Testing other brands was satisfying, but it always lacked that “something” that Nanolash provides. I hope that if you decide to try this eyelash extension kits, you will be as satisfied as I am.
