Hello everyone!
If you have problems finding your favorite perfumes, then search no longer but create them yourself! Remember to prepare three notes: head, heart and base. Match them with your liking, life event that you are going to wear them as well as a time of a day/season.
How to make your own perfumes at home?
I guess I won’t surprise you when I say that you have to collect all the necessary items first. Choose the essential oils separately, yet make sure that they will compose well and create a kind of an aromatic gradient. Apart from essential oils, you will also need approximately 30 ml of distilled water that will be the base ingredient of your perfumes. Of course, you will also need a bottle with atomizer where you will keep your personalized fragrance in. If I were to advise you, I’d say that you should get a dark glass bottle to protect your perfumes from the sunlight, moisture and other factors that might contribute to spoiling your homemade fragrances.
DIY perfumes step by step
Take the bottle and start filling it with essential oils. Keep doing this really carefully, drop by drop. You can shake the bottle delicately from time to time to help the ingredients combine well. Then wait a while and check the aroma. If you feel like it, you can add some more drops of a particular oil to compose the fragrance you really want to create. When you finally get the aroma you intended to produce, screw the bottle, put it away and let it ‘rest’ for 48-72 hours (cool and dry place). This time allows the ingredients mix well.
Another step depends on adding distilled water. Shake the bottle gently to combine all the ingredients well. Remember, don’t do this too vigorously because this may result in the essential oils changing their aroma. Seriously. Your homemade perfumes are now ready.
How to use homemade perfumes?
Homemade perfumes are supposed to be used exactly the same way as the store-bought ones. Spray the fragrance over all the body areas where you can feel the pulse with your palm, and the body parts that are a little bit warmer. Therefore, you should spray: wrists, neck and cleavage. You can expect the fragrance to remain on your skin the entire day. Actually, I’ve got a piece of news for you. Do you know that you can extend the lifespan of your perfumes due to Vaseline? How to do it? Just spread Vaseline over the body parts you want to use the homemade fragrance on.
What’s also crucial, make sure that you store the DIY fragrances properly. This means that you should keep them away from the sources of the light, moisture, high temperature and air. As you probably guessed, a bathroom is a really bad place to keep the perfumes in. Luckily, a dark glass bottle protects your DIY fragrances against all the negative factors.
